Code of Conduct + Studio Rules

STUDIO RULES

  • Arrive on time + Listen to coaches.

  • Students must wear proper attire for the activities being undertaken.

  • No jewellery to be worn on aerials.

  • No food on the studio floor

  • No glass on the studio floor (metal or plastic water bottles only).

  • Kinetica is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • Unless otherwise authorised, equipment must only be used when supervised by a Kinetica coach.

  • Rigging ropes are only to be adjusted by staff.

Kinetica is committed to maintaining an inclusive and safe environment for all students and staff. We will not accept any actions that counteract this commitment, including bullying, harassment, disrespectful or disruptive behaviour. Mutual respect, along with empathy and acceptance, is expected between staff and students, and between students at all times. Kinetica will not tolerate behaviour that is likely to undermine the dignity or self-esteem of an individual, or to create an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment.

Bullying and harassment is defined as any unwelcome or uninvited action by any person, whether verbal or physical, which humiliates, intimidates or degrades. This includes inappropriate conduct, behaviours or comments by a person towards a student or staff member.

When online within the Kinetica forum, or when publicly identifying yourself as a Kinetica student in social media, Kinetica’s Code of Conduct applies. Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated.

MUTUAL RESPECT STATEMENT

Welcome to Kinetica! We ask that you familiarise yourself with our Code of Conduct, to ensure that a high standard of circus training is delivered in a mutually respectful environment.

Our staff have a responsibility to:

  • Treat all students with courtesy and respect

  • Contribute towards the provision of a safe and friendly environment for students and members of staff.

  • Know and implement the protocols for dealing with disrespectful, disruptive, or bullying behaviour, including reporting behaviour to senior staff.

Our staff and students have the right to: 

  • Be treated with courtesy and respect

  • Feel safe at the studio

  • Be accepted and encouraged.

Our company Board:

  • Will ensure that staff are trained to support and encourage students, and identify issues or behaviours that do not contribute to the provision of a safe and friendly environment

  • Will not tolerate disrespectful, disruptive, or bullying behaviour at Kinetica

  • Reserves the right to refuse entry to the studio to anyone who does not abide by Kinetica’s Code of Conduct.
